The Parish Council Planning Committee usually meets twice each month at 6.00pm on the first and third Mondays. The meetings are open to the public and details of the next meeting can be obtained from the Parish Clerk.

The Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Council are ex-officio members of the Planning Committee and have full voting rights.

Planning Overview
West Berkshire Council (WBC) is the planning authority for the area.
WBC invites Purley on Thames Parish Council to comment on planning applications within the parish. The Parish Council’s input is not binding upon WBC but comments may be considered in reaching a decision.
The Role of the Parish Council
Significant and controversial decisions may be referred to WBC’s Eastern Area Planning Committee for further consideration.
