The Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Council are ex-officio members of the  Recreation Committee and have full voting rights.

The purpose of the Recreation Committee is to manage recreational facilities within the village and promote and encourage recreational activities for all.

Specific responsibilities include

• The management and maintenance of recreation facilities at Goosecroft and Bucknell’s Meadow;
• Hire of playing grounds
• Provision and maintenance of children’s play areas;
• Risk assessments and compliance with Health & Safety rules for all facilities.
